In the play Death of a Salesman there are 4 main characters, they are the Loman family. There is Willy Loman whom is the dad, Linda his loving wife and his two boys Biff and Happy. Willy is an older gent in his 60’s and still working hard for his family or seems to be. For his part, I guess I would like to see Al Pacino. Pacino has played many of characters from mild manor to ruthless and I feel he would play the part of Willy well. Pacino can turn on and off just as we see with Willy in the play, and has a way of just zoning out when he needs to. Marion Ross, who played Mrs. Cummingham on Happy Days, should play the loving adoring wife. Just like the character Linda, Marion always pleased her husband and adored her kids. There seemed to be nothing she would not do to please her husband. Biff who seems to be a dreamer but yet has anything to show for it, could be played by Mark Wahlberg. Both these characters have a way of getting things they want when they want them, either by stealing or just not caring who they hurt in the process. Matthew McConaughey should play Happy. Both of these gents are womanizers and both play the role of hey everyone look at me. Both are known in their characters to sleep around and not ever have any commitment. There have been some roles Matthew has played where he grasps on to his parents also not ever growing up, and to me Happy seems to be hanging around Mom and Pop also while playing the single life style. These would be my choices as far as actors, to take hold of this play and put their talents to work.
